It's Hot Out There

Image result for cartoon pictures of someone sweating It is so HOT out there. WOW!!
So for all you weekend warriors, exercisers, runners, outdoors people. Get ready to be dehydrated.
I had a request from a client today for a hydration drink. This is the drink you should be giving your children as well. Most all the sports drinks on the shelves are packed with sugar and or HFCS. They also contain a lot of sodium chloride and I am not talking about high-quality sea salt. Just straight up sodium chloride. Bleached highly processed sodium. It doesn't contain any trace minerals. If you are over 45 years old and most likely a woman then you puff up like a toad!!! If you feed it to your children then the sugar high they get will make you sorry that you ever opened the bottle.

Sports Drink:
1 quart organic Coconut water
1 tsp. Cal/Mag powder  (Vitacost has a good one on their website)
For you locals, West TX RX carries everything you need for this recipe)
1/4 C organic apple juice
1/4 tsp high quality sea salt
1-2 Tbls. Stevia if desired
Slowly heat up Coconut water, add all the powder, heat only enough to dissolve the powder. Remove and add apple juice.
Store in the refrigerator. You can also make ice cubes out of this.
